How to search the Web using Ethicle ?

Just go to www.ethicle.com and select one or several NGO(s) amongst those displayed on the webpage. By selecting them, you indicate that those non-profits are the beneficiaries of the donations generated while using Ethicle.
Enter your query in the Google search bar. Click on "Search". The obtained results are those provided by Google, with the same efficiency and speed as the original search engine.

You can also customize your Web browser search engine to be configured as a Ethicle search toolbar; this option is made available to you at www.ethicle.com. This will allow you to use a Ethicle toolbar supported by Google search engine on your default web browser.

In both cases, the money generated by your search goes to NGO(s) you've selected on www.ethicle.com. The chosen NGO(s) remain(s) selected automatically, each time you use Ethicle to browse the web. You are 100% free to change your selection at anytime. Please note that each change on www.ethicle.com is automatically saved on the Ethicle toolbar as well.

How do I know that the money raised on Ethicle is sent to the non-profits?

Ethicle will send each organization a check once a year in December for the funds earned through the prior 12 months. In the meantime, Ethicle will publish online the part of its financial account related to the non-profits as a proof of transparency.

I run a non-profit organization. How can I make it benefit from the donations made on Ethicle?

To submit your organization, just click on the "more charities" link on the Ethicle home page. Click on the "add your charity" link to access our subscription form. Once your form sent to us, we will handle your request as quickly as we can. Ethicle reserves the right to refuse participation to any organization.

The evolution of the amount I raised doesn't appear under the "Your Ethicle" tracker on the home page of the website.

If so, be sure your searches were counted on Ethicle, regardless. If they don't appear under your tracker "Your Ethicle", it means your web browser doesn't allow the cookies we use on Ethicle to keep track of this type of information.

How do I know how much money is sent to the non-profits?

By visiting www.ethicle.com where you can find a tracker that indicates each month how much money has been raised by the searches made through Ethicle. Each user can also see how much he/she has inidvidually raised in favor of the charities that are dear to him/her. Money donations are then transferred to each one of the NGOs proportionally to the selections made by the Ethicle users.

What does 'fraudulent' ou 'abusive' searching mean ?

We cannot, for obvious reasons, count 'fraudulent' or 'abusive' searches made on Ethicle, that is -among other things- repeated manual clicks and the use of robots or any other automated system only aimed at raising our trackers and not at searching the Web.
Ethicle has to be used like any other classic search engine. Therefore, in order to prevent any misuse, repeated searches (same keywords, several times a day) made by a one and the same user won't be counted as 'donations' anymore. We thank you for your understanding.
